Born and raised in small town Nova Scotia, he now resides in London, Ontario with his wife and three boys. Graduating from St. Francis Xavier University with a BA in Public Policy and Social research, later obtaining a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Fanshawe College, and most recently a Master of Education: Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Early Elementary Pedagogy from his alma mater, St. Francis Xavier University, Darren has been working with children and educational professionals for the last 15 years, both at home and abroad. He spent almost 4 years as a kindergarten teacher in South Korea, also travelling extensively and volunteering throughout Southeast Asia while there.
Darren managed the children, youth and family department, as well as day camp and outdoor education programs for a major organization, facilitated and organized professional development opportunities for the early years community in Southwest Ontario, and has taught at the College level. He is currently the Manager of Children Services in a neighboring city. As a coach, mentor, facilitator and educator, Darren brings a passionate dynamic to his workshops and provides participants with positive growth opportunities, regardless of the industry.
